Kids + Camera + Nature = The Adventure Guide! Today we host our Winter Adventure Guide workshop and everyone got some new camera info and muddy boots. It was a perfect afternoon to learn about light and composition.
The Adventure Guide is a photography workshop which seeks to teach kids about 10 and up photography lessons using nature and adventure. We have both home base (in Holton, KS) and Explorer (traveling) workshops that we know kids will love.
Today kids (and moms!) came with all different cameras but all left with a  little more information and confidence to use their cameras.

The kids were each given a scavenger hunt form to complete. We can’t wait to see what they captured.  They were also each given an Adventure Journal for them to use as their photo journal to chronicle their adventures.

WHAT’S NEXT

If you have taken one of our workshops here are a few next steps.

1. Encourage your child to go out and take pictures. Even reuse the scavenger hunt sheet in a new location.  The more they use their camera the more they will learn.

2. Print pictures. Don’t let pictures sit on your memory card. Go throught them with your kids and have them picture their favorites. We suggest sites like mpix.com. They are a great lab with professional results.

3. Sign up for another workshop. Check out what workshops we have available.
