Weekends seem busy lately… the kids are getting older so we typically have some sort of ball game, and somehow before we know it, the weekend is gone, and we are still exhausted. I’ll admit when someone suggested a hotdog roast (I hate the word “wiener”, it’s a hotdog!) I felt like my busy day couldn’t handle it. I didn’t know that it was exactly what my busy day needed. Sometimes we have to make the time. I need to get better at this… but we spend so much time being “busy” we forget about the important things, and the important people too! I loved having my sister Dayna and her family and my brothers Levi and his wife Nicole at my parents house. We missed Nate and Sopio, of course!

I feel bad I didn’t get pics of everyone after looking through the photos I did take. I blame the twins. Landon and Josie hog my lens when they are around with their adorable blue eyes and the longest lashes an aunt ever did see. It’s seriously so easy! 17 month olds are the best. I remember my kids being around this age and loving it so much. They are starting to really talk, and are full of personality. Being an aunt is one of my favorite things.  I haven’t been grabbing my big camera as much as I used to, but I am always so happy when I do! Plus with my new Sony, I can easily shoot the photos to my iPhone to post to instagram, or send to a friend if I want via the cameras bluetooth .

This is SO random, but my siblings and I all say shmore. not s’more. Why? I have no idea, but even my grandma says “Shmore” … It’s a weird family trait that my brother-in-law refuses to conform to. I’ll say “Shmore” forever. (Do you say it “Shmore”, or “S’more”? I need to know!!) Anyway we had fun eating shmores, jumping in the leaves with the twins, and playing games. This is what weekends are really for.

I’m a huge fan of Instagram, I post on it daily! It’s like my little picture journal. I even get Chatbooks made of all my posts… but I find I don’t really record my words like I did when I blogged more. I’m going to try to take up blogging again…

Random family things, photography tips, inspiration, farm-house room remodel …. blogging is a creative outlet. I like it. I just need to get back in the habit… plus isn’t this site beautiful!! A lot has gone into it, so we better get to blogging! What do you want to see more of? Let us know!!
