Photography for me is magical. It gives me a chance yes to stop time and hold a bit of my kid’s innocence forever, but more than that it helps me to find ways to make ordinary moments magical.
One may have looked in the room and said…”wow..you should dust!” but it looked like pure magic to me. The way the light hit every bit of dust that morning. Charles was getting ready to head outside (dressed way too warmly by the way) and just happen to be in the room when all of this dust was swirling. It really looked like it was knowing even though it was a record breaking November day.
I share this with you for two reasons… to remind myself to look and see the magic all around me (even in my dust!) and to encourage you to see use your camera to find the magic in your days. I love the way my kids see the world. It is almost like 100% pure wonder. Charlee didn’t see dust…she was sparking fairy “dust”…. She saw snow… She saw magic!
If your camera has been gathering dust… blow it off..and take pictures of your kids in it!
