The kids are back in school today, so I FINALLY had time to edit photos we took over Christmas break…. Then the school nurse called, and I had to pick up a boy with a tummy ache. Sigh…. that’s how it goes huh? 🙂 I wouldn’t trade it, sick days and all. I still managed to get a little bit of editing in while he rested.
Over Christmas break I scheduled a couple of sessions on one day so Kim and I wouldn’t have to leave our houses more then once! (good thing because it was freezing!) We started the day at our studio with a newborn baby boy named Max and his sweet family, and ended with a multi-generational photo shoot with the Winters, near Topeka. As I reflected back on the day we had I couldn’t help but be thankful for my job. The beginning of a precious life recorded in stills and motion, followed by a hearty lunch at Panera (It doesn’t get any better then soup and fresh bread), then great grandparents holding and hugging sweet great grands in a home filled with laughter and 25 people in a picture. What a beautiful heritage we all have when we love each other, and how amazing to be able to capture milestones like these to be enjoyed for generations! We aren’t just recording and snapping pictures… we are documenting history! Wow.
Anyway, how about I share some images from baby Max’s session? He was as sweet as he looks! Baby number 4 usually is pretty easy going (in my photography experience) and boy is he a loved little guy!
