These days have been interesting… not knowing what tomorrow will bring, questioning if it’s worth the risk to go to the store, work, or park, so we mostly just stay home. In the end, it’s really not that bad of a sacrifice. In fact, I think God daily that we have room to run… and I keep asking Him to bring out the sunshine. It’s coming though, the sun, and lots of mindless trips to public places and friends to hang out with. I pray your family is coping well too. The unknowns are scary.

I wanted to find a way to do something, so I’m sharing a couple of free options. One for adults and one for the kids. πŸ™‚

For kids, I’d love to share our photo scavenger hunt. This is a great way to get them busy learning about photography, and doing something outside that doesn’t require you to help too much. This is simple and fun. Add some of your own ideas to the list that shows what life is like for your family at this time. Seeing the world through the images our kids take can be very enlightening! All ages can do this activity. We are planning on doing it today! You can tag The Wild Child Photography on Facebook or Instagram. We want to see! Oh, and please print them! We love Mpix.com… kids love to look at the photos they take.

Ok Moms, Or dads, or really anyone… Something for you! πŸ™‚

Something that’s been helping me right now is to find something, and sometimes a few things I am grateful for today. I tend to let things weigh heavy on my heart, and this COVID-19 thing really would love to steal my joy, so I am finding the joy trying to focusing on it!

My challenge for you (and me!) is to find something you are grateful for, write it down, and photograph it! I’ve designed a couple of journals with this idea in mind, but you don’t need a journal, you can use a sticky note and stick it where you can see it daily, or a simple notebook that you love to journal in.

Today I wrote down that I was grateful for my workout with friends. It was a virtual workout, but I saw people and sweated with them. My body and mind feel great from doing it, and I know it made a big difference in my day. Sometimes my gratitude list seems pretty basic and for lack of a better word, shallow, and other times I dive deep and find gratitude in unexpected ways and places. I always thank Jesus, and it sets the tone for the day. Sure I still get bummed, but I don’t forget what I’ve written down and photographed.

So, JOIN ME! Let’s share our daily gratitude. I’d love to connect in this way! I am going to work on maybe setting up a Facebook or Instagram group for this purpose. (maybe a hashtag too? Hummm… #wildgratitude or something like that) Please let me know if you’d like to be included. I don’t know about you, but I am also really missing my friends.
